General FAQ
General FAQ
1. When and where is the 2026 Massachusetts Republican State Convention?
The Convention is on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Doors open for credentialing in the morning. As a Team Minogue delegate, please plan to arrive by 8:00 AM to give yourself plenty of time to check in and get settled before the Convention is called to order. Delegates cannot enter and/or exit the facility once the convention gavels in.
2. What do I need to bring to check in as a delegate?
Bring a valid photo ID. When you arrive, you will check in at the MassGOP credentialing area to confirm your delegate status and receive your credentials. Only credentialed delegates are permitted on the convention floor for voting.
3. Is there a registration fee?
Yes. The delegate registration fee for the 2026 Convention is $200. You can pay online in advance through the link on our delegate information page. We strongly encourage paying ahead of time to speed up your check-in process on convention day.
4. Can I bring guests who are not delegates?
Yes. Non-delegate guests may attend the Convention at a reduced registration fee of $100, as set by the Party. However, only credentialed delegates may be seated on the convention floor and vote. Guests will be seated in designated spectator areas.
5. How does seating work on the convention floor?
Delegates are seated by State Senate District. The seating arrangement for each district is determined by a drawing of lots before the Convention. When you arrive, your credentials will indicate your district seating assignment. Find your section, take your seat, and get ready to support Mike.
6. What should I do when I arrive as a Team Minogue delegate?
First, check in as a delegate with MassGOP at the credentialing area to get your official credentials. Then, come find the Team Minogue check-in area to pick up your Platoon Prep Pack, put on your Team Minogue merch, meet your fellow delegates, and head to the floor. Our team will be clearly visible and ready to welcome you.
7. How does voting work at the Convention?
Voting is conducted by tally within Senate Districts. Each credentialed delegate MUST BE PRESENT to cast their vote for the Governor’s race (and each other contested office). You indicate your vote for Mike Minogue as they call your name. If no candidate receives a majority on the first ballot, additional ballots are held until a candidate wins a majority.
8. What does “endorsement” at Convention actually mean?
Winning the Convention endorsement means the candidate receives the official backing of the Massachusetts Republican Party heading into the primary. It is a major show of party unity and organizational strength. This is why every single vote matters — we want Mike to win the endorsement with a strong, decisive majority that unifies the party for the fight in November.
9. Can someone else vote on my behalf if I can’t make it (proxy voting)?
No. There is no proxy voting at the Convention. You must be present, credentialed, and on the floor to cast your vote. This is exactly why we need you there in person on April 25. If you have any issues with attendance, please contact us immediately so we can help.
10. What if I have a religious conflict with voting on Saturday?
The Convention rules provide for a religious accommodation. If you are a delegate and religious observance prevents you from being present during voting, you may request an absentee ballot in advance through the Party. This must be arranged ahead of time — please contact the MassGOP as soon as possible if this applies to you.
11. When will the Governor’s vote happen? How long will Convention last?
The exact timing depends on how quickly earlier business moves, but plan to be there for the duration. Convention days can run several hours. Do not leave early — if voting goes to multiple ballots, we need you there for every single one.
12. Can I leave and come back during the Convention?
No, you cannot re-enter the DCU Center if you leave. We will have food available and we strongly encourage you to stay on the floor once you are seated. Voting can be called at any time, and if you are not in your seat when ballots are distributed, you may miss your chance to vote. Stay put, stay engaged, and stay ready!
13. Who do I contact on Convention Day if I have questions or need help?
Call or text the Team Minogue Convention Hotline: (508) 612-6423. Our team will be on-site and available all day to help with directions, check-in issues, seating questions, or anything else you need. Save this number in your phone before April 25.

Saturday Morning: Arrive Early, Arrive Ready
Doors open at the DCU Center Saturday morning and things move fast. Plan to arrive by 8:00 AM to give yourself plenty of time. Parking fills up, check-in lines grow, and you want to be settled on the floor well before the gavel drops.
Your arrival game plan:
Step 1: Park at the Mercantile Garage on Commercial Street or use nearby street parking (we recommend the Passport Parking app for meters). Give yourself extra time.
Step 2: Head to the MassGOP credentialing area to check in as an official delegate. Bring your valid photo ID. This is where you get your credentials and your ballot access.
Step 3: Come find the Team Minogue check-in — we’ll be set up nearby in the same building with clear signage. Pick up your Platoon Prep Pack, throw on your Team Minogue merch, and meet your fellow delegates.
Step 4: Head to the convention floor, find your State Senate District seating section, and get settled. You’re ready.
On The Floor: What To Expect
Convention is a full day. There will be speeches, procedural votes, rules adoption, platform business, and endorsement votes for statewide offices. The Governor’s endorsement vote is the main event, but it comes after other business is handled first.
A few things to keep in mind:
Plan for a long day. Convention can run several hours. We will have food available, so you don’t need to leave to eat. Pack your patience and your enthusiasm — both will be needed.
Stay in your seat. Once you’re on the floor, stay put. Voting can be called at any time, and ballots are distributed to delegates who are seated. If you’re in the hallway or grabbing coffee when ballots go out, you could miss your vote. Your vote is irreplaceable — there is no proxy voting.
Multiple ballots are possible. If no candidate wins a majority on the first ballot, we go again. And again, if needed. Do not leave after the first vote. We need you there for every single ballot.
Keep your energy up. Cheer for Mike. Clap when his name is called. Be loud, be proud, be unified. The energy on the floor matters — it shows strength, it builds momentum, and it makes undecided delegates take notice.
Representing Team Minogue
You are an ambassador for Mike Minogue. How you carry yourself on the convention floor reflects on the campaign and on Mike. Here’s how we win with class:
Be positive and welcoming. We are building a coalition, not burning bridges. Be friendly to delegates from other campaigns. Many of them may be supporting Mike on later ballots or in the general election. Kill them with kindness. We’re here to unite the party, not divide it.
Wear your merch. When you pick up your Platoon Prep Pack at the Team Minogue check-in, gear up. We want a sea of Minogue supporters visible on the convention floor. It’s a visual show of force and it matters.
Stay disciplined. Don’t get pulled into arguments or heated exchanges on the floor. If someone tries to rattle you or spread rumors, smile, stay calm, and flag it to our team. Let the campaign handle it. Your job is to vote and to project confidence and unity.
Respect the process. Convention has rules and procedures. Listen to the Chair, follow instructions from the floor, and be respectful of the process even when it moves slowly. We’re Republicans — we believe in order, institutions, and doing things the right way.
When It’s Time To Vote
This is what it all comes down to. When ballots are distributed for the Governor’s endorsement:
Vote for Mike Minogue. Every ballot. Every time.
It’s that simple. Mark your ballot, submit it to the tellers, and stay in your seat for the results. If we go to additional ballots, we do it all again. Stay locked in.
A strong endorsement vote sends a message to the entire state that the Massachusetts Republican Party is unified behind Mike Minogue as our candidate for Governor. That’s the mission. That’s what we’re here for.
