HAMILTON, Mass. — Voters from all political backgrounds are coming together behind Mike Minogue for governor, saying the election should be about neighbors working toward a better Massachusetts, not political enemies divided by party labels.
Registered Democrats and Independents featured in the campaign’s latest ad say they are willing to cross traditional party lines to support Minogue, citing the cost of living and the need for new leadership.
Nina: “I’m a Democrat, and I’m voting for Mike Minogue because he’s going to lower the cost of living.”
Jeanni, a registered Democrat featured in one of Minogue’s first ads, said simply, “I’m voting for Mike Minogue.”
Independent voters echoed the message, emphasizing that their choice is based on the candidate rather than party affiliation.
Ralph: “I’m an Independent. I vote the person, not the party, and in this upcoming election I’m voting Mike Minogue as governor.”
Hannah: “It’s not about Democrats, it’s not about Republicans, it’s about choosing great people.”
The voices reflect a broader movement of Massachusetts residents who believe political labels should not stand in the way of choosing effective leadership.
Rohan: “I’m willing to disregard my previous association with Democrats if it means that Mike Minogue can be governor.”
Minogue says the highlighted statements reflect what he hears every day as he meets voters across the Commonwealth, “People are joining the movement because they know Massachusetts can do better. We’re neighbors, not political enemies.”
Minogue says the one-party system is no longer working for the people. Massachusetts is working fine for the political elite, but it is no longer working for the people. Minogue promises to be a new kind of governor for all of Massachusetts.
