WORCESTER, Mass. — Mike Minogue, the Massachusetts GOP endorsed gubernatorial candidate, won the Massachusetts Republican State Convention on Saturday by a landslide, winning an extraordinary 70% of the delegates on the first ballot and cementing his standing as the leading candidate to challenge Gov. Maura Healey this November.
After losing his voice from a dominant convention speech and countless one-on-one conversations with delegates all week, he called on his wife and five children to join him in celebrating the victory. Minogue’s 13-year-old son, George, took the stage and asked the delegates: “Are you ready for a new kind of governor, like my dad?”
Minogue now looks to bring the Republican Party together as he turns the focus to the General Election. Minogue is running to restore accountability, affordability, opportunity, and to keep communities safe in Massachusetts. The Minogue campaign already has 2x cash-on-hand and has out-organized Healey.
