Minogue Campaign Responds to Healey Re-Election Launch, Highlights Growing Momentum for a New Kind of Governor

HAMILTON, Mass. — As Governor Maura Healey officially launches her re-election campaign, Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Minogue says Massachusetts voters are being asked once again to accept a system that works for the political elites while families, businesses, and communities continue to fall behind. A recent Suffolk University-Boston Globe poll found that roughly 1 in 3 Massachusetts voters have seriously considered leaving the state, driven primarily by the cost of living.

“After four years of the Healey administration, the only people doing better in Massachusetts are the political elite,” said Mike Minogue. “Young people and families are being priced out, businesses are leaving, and communities are less safe while the political establishment keeps asking voters to accept more of the same. I’m running to be a new kind of governor, focused on accountability, affordability, and making Massachusetts the best place to live, work, and raise a family again. Today’s announcement is just another promise to protect a system that works for some but not for all.”

While Healey doubles down on the status quo, the Minogue campaign continues to build real momentum across the Commonwealth that is fueled by grassroots energy, growing support, and a clear contrast with the entrenched political establishment.

By the numbers, in 3 months the Minogue campaign’s momentum is undeniable:

  • 1,626 volunteers mobilized statewide
  • 1,317 individual donors
  • $6,219,333 raised and contributed
  • $3,711,421 cash on hand
  • 85 campaign stops across Massachusetts
  • 36 Republican Town Committees visited

Minogue’s television advertising, running across broadcast, cable, and digital platforms, has already generated more than 15 million impressions, introducing his biography and message to voters across the Commonwealth and reinforcing his call for a government that works for everyone, not some.

As the campaign moves forward, Minogue will continue traveling the state, meeting voters where they live and work, and building a coalition determined to make Massachusetts the best place to raise a family again.
