HAMILTON, Mass. — Candidate for governor Mike Minogue today released a new statewide ad titled “Donuts,” featuring a conversation between two people discussing their voting habits and Minogue’s campaign.
The ad opens with two friends, with one friend asking, “You following the political news?” The other responds that they already know how they are voting.
The conversation turns to the pair’s longtime voting habits, with one person saying, “We always get chocolate frosted (donuts), and we always vote Democrat.” The ad highlights the entrenched patterns that solidify the state’s one-party system,
“The Commonwealth is at a crossroads. The one-party system has failed too many Massachusetts families. Voters have a clear choice: continue down the same path or embrace a new direction that puts people first,” said Mike Minogue.
The ad then introduces Minogue as a “business guy, outsider, veteran” and references his campaign message of making Massachusetts more affordable.
The conversation continues with the speakers discussing Minogue’s positions on bringing jobs to Massachusetts and keeping communities safe.
The ad concludes with the line, “…a little change would be good for you.”
