HAMILTON, Mass. — Mike Minogue won the Republican primary Tuesday, securing a decisive victory and advancing to the November General Election against Gov. Maura Healey.
Minogue enters the General Election with a direct message: Massachusetts is working for some, but not all. He calls for a new direction for the Commonwealth, one focused on accountability, affordability, opportunity, and keeping communities safe. Over the last few months, Minogue has secured a winning coalition of Republicans, Democrats, and independents who are tired of the status quo and ready for a new kind of governor.
Minogue says that for too long, families and small businesses have been asked to pay more while political insiders and well-connected interests continue to benefit. His campaign will take that message statewide, arguing Massachusetts needs leadership willing to challenge the status quo and put residents ahead of party politics.
“The one-party system is failing Massachusetts. As the political outsider in this race, my focus is what is in the best interest of our people, our entrepreneurs, and our businesses. I will be a public servant and a new kind of governor,” said Minogue. “Politicians want us to hate each other, but we are not political enemies; we are neighbors. Together, we can solve the problems facing Massachusetts and make it the best place to live, work, and raise a family”
Minogue’s campaign enters the General Election with strong organizational support and more cash on hand than the Healey campaign. After building a grassroots operation that carried him through the primary, Minogue is prepared to take his message statewide.
The campaign will focus on families burdened by the cost of living and frustrated by a political system that puts insiders first. Minogue believes families should not have to compete with political connections for opportunity, and that taxpayer dollars should serve the public and not the friends of the well-connected.
As the General Election begins, Minogue will focus on bringing Massachusetts together around the challenges facing communities across the Commonwealth. Minogue believes Massachusetts will not be saved by division, but by those who are willing to put Massachusetts first.
