HAMILTON, Mass. — Candidate for governor Mike Minogue today called on organizers of the 2026 general-election gubernatorial debates to invite Andrea James, the unenrolled candidate for governor, to participate.
“The Commonwealth is at a crossroads. The one-party system has failed too many Massachusetts families. Voters have a clear choice: continue down the same path or embrace a new direction that puts citizens first,” said Minogue. “They deserve the opportunity to hear all competing visions side by side, and I call on debate hosts to invite Andrea James to participate and give voters the chance to hear from every candidate seeking to be governor.”
Minogue called on debate organizers to establish clear, objective participation standards and apply them equally to all ballot-qualified candidates, regardless of party affiliation.
Minogue has agreed to four debates, airing on WCVB, WBZ, WFXT, and WWLP. Regardless of whether Andrea James is included in the debates, Minogue will participate and debate the issues facing Massachusetts voters. He looks forward to giving voters the opportunity to hear his vision for Massachusetts based on AAOK: Accountability, Affordability, Opportunity, and Keeping Communities Safe.
