Mike Minogue Announces Jennifer Nassour and Jay Calnan to Lead Finance Team in Massachusetts Governor’s Race

HAMILTON, Mass. – Mike Minogue, candidate for Massachusetts governor, today announced Jennifer Nassour and Jay Calnan will serve as Finance Chairs for his campaign, leading the statewide fundraising operation to power the effort to win.

They will lead our finance effort because they know how important this  race is to bring affordability, accountability, and opportunity to our state.” 

Jennifer Nassour, attorney, former Chair of the Massachusetts Republican Party (2009-2011),  recently former Finance Chair of the Massachusetts Republican Party (2024-2025) and co-founder of the Pocketbook Project, said:

Jennifer Nassour is a powerhouse in Massachusetts politics. A candidate for office, former Chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party, Co-Founder of the Pocketbook Project and CEO of Reflect US, Nassour has been a strategic force for campaigns in New England and beyond. 

During her tenure as Chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party, Republicans won the U.S.  Senate seat held by Scott Brown and doubled their ranks in the Massachusetts House of  Representatives, the first gains in two decades. As Chairman, Nassour also rebuilt the party’s  activist infrastructure. Under her leadership, the party added 100 additional city and town  committees and launched an unprecedented series of training seminars covering all aspects of campaigning for activists, candidates, campaign managers, and elected officials. 

She has been a prominent spokesperson for candidates up and down the ballot, notably as the  Northeast Chair of the Women For Nikki coalition for the Nikki Haley for President campaign. Nassour currently leads the Pocketbook Project (formerly Conservative Women for a Better Future), a non-profit organization dedicated to electing more women in Massachusetts and the Northeast. 

Nassour is an attorney, the host of the Political Contessa podcast, leading political strategist in the  greater Northeast, and most importantly a mom of three daughters and two dogs.

Jay resides in Downtown Boston, MA, and is the proud father of Christopher, Daintry, and Jake.
