HAMILTON, Mass. — MA GOP and RNC Committee endorsed candidate for Massachusetts governor, Mike Minogue, today announced Elizabeth Hopkins will join the team to serve as Director of Communications for his 2026 campaign.
Elizabeth Hopkins is a veteran broadcast journalist with over two decades of experience in public communications, media relations, and storytelling. During her 13-year tenure at Boston25 News, Elizabeth anchored, reported, and covered the issues that mattered most to local communities in New England. Prior to that, she anchored, reported, and hosted at WPRI in Providence for three years. She began her career in Rapid City, SD, followed by a post in Madison, WI, as a reporter.
“Elizabeth knows Massachusetts because she’s spent decades listening to the people who live here and telling their stories,” said Mike Minogue. “She understands the challenges working people and families, entrepreneurs, and businesses face every day. As we continue building a statewide movement, I’m excited to have Elizabeth on our team, helping us connect with voters and share our blueprint to make Massachusetts the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Throughout her career, Elizabeth developed a reputation for her compassion, humor, and spontaneity while disseminating information clearly and effectively. Her work included live breaking news coverage, in-depth reporting, community engagement, and interviews with political leaders, celebrities, business executives, and residents from all walks of life.
As a volunteer, Elizabeth has partnered with various organizations to serve the homeless, the elderly, and children in need. She previously served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children.
In her new role, Elizabeth will oversee campaign communications, media relations, and public engagement efforts as the Minogue campaign expands its statewide operation.
