HAMILTON, Mass. — Candidate for governor Mike Minogue has accepted an invitation to participate in a one-hour primetime televised debate hosted by WWLP-22News, giving voters across Western Massachusetts an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the issues that matter most to the region.
The debate timing and additional details regarding the date, time, and format to be announced by WWLP-22News once finalized after Maura Healey has accepted.
“The concerns of voters in Western Massachusetts deserve to be heard. Chief among them is ensuring access to the same high-quality healthcare and nearby medical facilities that residents of Greater Boston enjoy. Western Massachusetts also presents a tremendous opportunity to expand manufacturing, create good-paying jobs, and strengthen the ‘Made in Massachusetts’ brand to drive economic growth across the Commonwealth,” said Minogue. “Voters in Western Massachusetts have concerns about corruption and the government, with Maura Healey’s Chief of Staff receiving 18 pounds of drugs. Additionally, taxpayers are challenging the Springfield courthouse $2B contract given to political insiders because it did not meet the RFP or location preferred by the people. Voters deserve the opportunity to make an informed choice by hearing candidates present their solutions side by side on the issues that matter most to the region.”
WWLP-22News has a long history of providing voters with direct access to candidates seeking public office. The station has expressed its commitment to hosting a substantive discussion focused on the concerns and priorities of Western Massachusetts residents.
Minogue welcomed the opportunity to participate and engage directly with voters on cost of living, healthcare, manufacturing, jobs, and other issues affecting families and communities throughout Western Massachusetts.
